ELM World is developing a network connecting people seeking healthy food with farmers, gardeners and small producers. We want to help build direct relationships and understand how products are made.
How do we choose partners?
- We learn about the farm, its growing or production methods and the origin of ingredients.
- We pay attention to seasonality, storage, transport and clear product information.
- We discuss practices that care for soil, water, plants and animals.
- We mention certificates and claims only after checking the relevant documents.
Connecting the chain
We seek producers and partners who want to work with communities. In the future, the exchange platform should help present offerings, barter goods and services, and organise joint initiatives. A producer’s presence in the network does not itself mean certification or guarantee particular product qualities; details will be confirmed for each offering.

Proximity, seasonality and choice
We want to find trusted farms near communities and learn about their growing methods. Among our inspirations is the macrobiotic focus on season and local climate. We do not prescribe one diet: choosing food should take account of individual needs, origin, freshness and transparent information. We verify the term “organic” and any certification through documents, not only a producer’s statement.
