ELM World supports cooperation among people working with natural cultivation and soil regeneration. We encourage local communities to share knowledge, seedlings, tools and practical experience.
Farming that cares for the land
We are interested in permaculture: mulching, composting, crop diversity, water retention and working with natural processes. Ladybirds and other beneficial organisms help control some pests. We encourage observation of soil, weather and seasons, and avoiding synthetic sprays where possible. Specific methods must suit the farm’s conditions and the applicable organic production rules.
Cooperation and exchange
On the developing platform, communities will be able to present their initiatives, exchange goods and skills, and organise workshops. The exchange platform is a separate stage of work.
Observing nature’s rhythms
The practices we want to discuss also include biodynamic cultivation and scheduling some work by the lunar calendar. We treat these as traditions and topics for sharing experience, without claiming that the phase of the Moon alone improves yields. Local ecosystem observations, soil condition and careful documentation of results matter.
